Meribel Valley
home to the main resort village of Meribel 1450 to 1700, Mottaret 1750,
Meribel Village 1400, Meribel Les Allues 1100 and Brides les Bains 600
and a number of small villages between Mottaret and Les Allues such as
La Rosiere, La Gittaz, Le Raffort, Channdon, Le Cruet, Le Plantin, Le
Villaret & Le Biollay.
Méribel is situated at the heart of the world's most extensive ski area, Les Trois Vallées, which contains 293 Pistes (ski runs) totally in length 600 kilometres (375 miles) of groomed snow.
Les Trois Vallées is a high altitude resort (1,100m to 3,230m) with a great snow record.
All 3 Valleys, but especially Courchevel & Méribel Valleys, benefit from a very fast, modern and well connected ski lifts system combining some 184 separate ski lifts.
Cross Country Skiing and Back Country Skiing/Boarding is also well catered for and popular in the 3 Valleys.
There are lots of activities for the non-skier and/or for the more adventurous as well as reasonable après-ski although Courchevel 1850 is the most extensive.
